THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON JEWISH GENEALOGY
IS COMING TO BOSTON! August 4-9, 2013 at the Park Plaza Hotel.

The Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Boston is co-hosting with the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies

WHAT YOU CAN OFFER THE CONFERENCE
You are important to the success of the Conference!
We will need lots of VOLUNTEERS – for planning tasks between now and 2013 — and for helping out at the conference itself. Please sign up to help with this huge, important, and exciting undertaking. And…give us your IDEAS — about educational programs, speakers, entertainers, and anything else that will help make the conference an exciting, fun, and rewarding experience.

Special Skills
In preparation for the conference, I can help with:

	Designing graphics, posters, stationery, etc.
	Writing/editing
	Preparing grants for conference funding
	Entering computer data
	Researching local archives and data repositories for a forthcoming “Guide to Local Boston Jewish Genealogical Resources” book
	Researching local tours
	Researching local entertainers
	Setting up cemetery visits
	Planning meeting logistics
	Helping with computers and information technology
	Designing and maintaining conference website
	Soliciting advertisers, sponsors, exhibitors
	Helping with office tasks such as making phone calls, stuffing envelopes, etc.
During the conference, I can help with:
	Set-up at the hotel prior to the conference
	Stuffing tote bags before registration opens
	Greeting attendees and helping them find their way
	Ticket takers for meals, functions and computer classes, tours
	Staffing the Hospitality area
	Being a roving helper where needed, such as changing room signage, acting as a courier
	Introducing speakers
	Staffing the Registration table
	Staffing the Resource Room
	Staffing the Computer Lab
	Taking digital photos or videos
	Translating documents (specify languages below)
	Accompanying tours of local archives and tourist sites
	Helping with breakdown at end of conference
